We will begin our Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain Tour with an early departure from Cusco. As dawn breaks, we will set out on a scenic drive through the South Valley. The journey to the trailhead will take approximately 3 hours, covering a distance of about 100 kilometers (62 miles). Here, at the foot of the majestic Andes, our ascent begins.
The Trek
We will embark on the trek at a starting altitude of 4,326 meters (14,189 feet) above sea level. The path will wind through quaint local villages and past herds of llamas and alpacas. We will guide you at a pace that allows for acclimatization, aiming for the enjoyment of each traveler. The trek to the peak of the mountain will span roughly 14 kilometers (8.7 miles) round-trip.
